Semana Santa in Antigua

Antigua, Guatemala is the place to be for holy week. There are processions daily that involve hundreds of people. The most unique sight of all, however, are the world-famous alfombras (carpets) made of colored sawdust and other assorted materials. They are created all over the streets of Antigua for the processions to pass over. Here are a few pictures that I snapped while in Antigua the week before Easter…
